ImperativeMyatt’s PrintNC Build Log

Build Log | Inspiration

This website will track my progress and share my thoughts whilst I am building my PrintNC.

Who am I

My name is Anthony, I live in a small country town called Deniliquin (Deni) near the New South Wales/Victoria border in Australia.

Cost Breakdown

Build

Test print of one of the motor mounts (chairs).

Checking the fit of the drill guides against my steel.

Printing the actual parts.

All the parts printed.

Steel cut… I ended up having to re-cut the two 70mm pieces as somehow they ended up as trapozoids.

Test fit… or more to the point, I wanted to feel like I’d made progress by seeing the basic frame “assembled”.

Okay, now I am actually assembling the basic frame… probably should have done a test run of using a tap as i’ve never used one before, but it went surprisingly well.

@fantommunky and I built a quick workbench to give my PrintNC somewhere to live, as I add more weight I don’t want to have to move it.

Finally it is no longer upside down… and I printed some end caps to tidy things up once it is fully assembled.

Attaching the BF12 mounts.

My linear motion kit is getting ready to ship.

Parts came!

Faceplate arrived from Hoges. I decided to paint it even though it can’t really be seen once fully assembled.

More assembly.
